ACADEMIA
I am currently an Adjunct Professor of Psychology 101 at Camden County College and have also taught multiple classes in a variety of areas in Psychology in addition to having taught Sociology, Research Methods & Humanities at Argosy University in Los Angeles. I am concerned with educating individuals about the importance of examining the principles and ways in which human behaviors shape thoughts and feelings as a gage in which to better understand how this impacts choices, decisions and attitudes which shape behavior in social environments (physical, electronic and/or imagined).
My research pertains to, "The Psychological Impact of Media on Women's Self-Esteem." The purpose is to empower everyday women with affirmative tools to negate harmful effects of media by providing them with behind the scenes information in addition to proposing ways to raise awareness. This research anticipates that through sharing healthy methods utilized by professionals working in Entertainment/Media as a means to promote positive self-esteem regarding body image, that women will be equipped with methods to mitigate the projected atrocities of the thin-ideal in Westernized cultures.

COMMUNITY
I've blended my love of counseling and dance to create the latest sensation, "JOYDance," which is an effective method for all to increase self-esteem utilizing African movement and live drums incorporated with courageous new ways of being. JOYDance participants experience an elevation of self- confidence while toning muscles and gaining useful tools to create more joy and overall abundance in life. This workshop promotes and increases self-awareness while encouraging participants to advance their total mind, body and spirit connection.
